On Monday, the Associated Press reported that the Communist government of China has been trying to eliminate the population of “Uighurs and other minorities” in order to “curb its Muslim population.”
According to the report, which was based on “government statistics, state documents and interviews with 30 ex-detainees, family members and a former detention camp instructor,” the tyrannical Chinese Communist Party “regularly subjects minority women to pregnancy checks, and forces intrauterine devices, sterilization and even abortion on hundreds of thousands, the interviews and data show.”
If a woman does not abide by these laws, she can be ordered to be sent to one of the many concentration camps in China, which are said to be used for “reeducation.” Inside these camps, women undergo forced IUDs and injections of unknown chemicals that are assumed to be pregnancy prevention shots.
As the Associated Press reports, many women “were force-fed birth control pills or injected with fluids, often with no explanation. Many felt dizzy, tired or ill, and women stopped getting their periods. After being released and leaving China, some went to get medical check-ups and found they were sterile.”
These horrific camps reportedly hold over one million Uighurs. In response to China’s continuous pattern of human rights’ abuse, President Trump signed a bill on June 17 aimed to increase the sanctions on China.
China reacted aggressively to the bill, threatening the United States with unspecified “consequences” if the sanctions were to be put into place.
“We again urge the U.S. side to immediately correct its mistakes and stop using this Xinjiang-related law to harm China’s interests and interfere in China’s internal affairs,” China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “Otherwise, China will resolutely take countermeasures, and all the consequences arising therefrom must be fully borne by the United States.”
