DEMS Against Big Tech Money, Unless that Money is For THEM

Just another manic Monday and the smell of liberal hypocrisy is in the air. In my piece for the Daily Caller today I discuss the irony amongst Democrats. First, the Democratic base has become suspicious of big tech companies, accusing them of privacy violations, creating monopolies, and exacerbating social media misinformation.

Just a few weeks ago, Pelosi tweeted “Today, everything is connected to the Internet…@HouseJudiciary will begin a long overdue investigation to determine if dominant digital platforms have harmed Americans in the marketplace & the voting booth.”

That’s a great idea Miss Speaker, but I don’t think you will like the results as your investigation will determine the harm to Americans “& the voting booth” is favoring your Democratic candidates. Just this weekend Vice President Joe Biden raised money from Silicon Valley.

\He flew there right after his less than stellar debate performance in Miami last week to begin getting money at residences of wealthy tech executives. In a matter of three days, Biden appeared at fundraisers for three tech executives. At each event, guests paid up to $2,800 just to attend.

Just a few weeks ago in early June, Democratic candidate Pete Buttigieg went to four fund-raisers in the Bay Area that were co-hosted by former senior Facebook and Google executives.

But wait, there’s more. Even New Jersey Senator Cory Booker has been to the Silicon Valley region four times to raise money, and candidate Kamala Harris (D-CA) has been to the area six times to fundraise.
