During an interview on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) discussed the Senate races in Georgia and warned that if Republicans lose control of the Senate, then Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will be the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.
“If Democrats take over the Senate and we lose both Georgia seats, Bernie Sanders will be Chairman of the Budget Committee in the United States Senate.” Graham said. “An avowed socialist would be writing the nation’s budget in the Senate.”
“If we keep control of the Senate, by winning both seats in Georgia, I’m going to be the Budget Chairman.” He added. “I may not be your cup of tea out there, but let me tell you this, I’m a hell of a lot better than Bernie Sanders when it comes to your money.”
Graham made the same claim in early on October on Twitter, writing, “Want to know what’s at stake this election? If we lose the Senate, socialist Bernie Sanders will become Budget Committee Chairman. If we hold the Senate, and I am re-elected, I will be Budget Committee Chairman.”

Republicans only need to win one of the two Georgia runoff Senate elections to maintain a majority in the Senate.
