Louisiana Republican Sen. John Kennedy called for calm on both sides of the aisle after the Wednesday night blowup at the White House between President Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying the fracas over Syria policy was “not cool.”

“You know, things are pretty stirred up and between the Syria issue and the impeachment issue. Now we’ve got off, we’ve got a lot of things to deal with, the budget being one, NAFTA too being another,” Kennedy, 67, told reporters Thursday. “My hope is that over time, things will settle down and the hysterical folks will pop Zoloft and chill — better living through chemistry.”
