The authorities in Colorado have restored the American flag to its rightful place Friday night after protesters outside the Aurora Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility tore down the American flag and replaced it with the flag of Mexico, signifying their disrespect for this country.

The protesters also disrespected U.S. law enforcement by tearing down a “Blue Lives Matter” flag, spray-painting it with the words “Abolish ICE,” then replacing the flag upside down on a pole beside the Mexican flag.

The protesters were part of #LightsForLiberty, also called the “March to Close Concentration camps,” and they called for the detention centers at the Southern border to be closed and the illegal aliens held in those centers to be released into the United States. The protest itself was in resistance to the ICE raids scheduled Sunday, the protesters were likely motivated by the widespread belief that ICE will be arbitrarily deporting illegal immigrants.

According to Fox News, Vice President Mike Pence, during his visit to the Southern border on Friday, said the ICE raids will be targeting illegal immigrants who have been ordered to be “deported by the courts” and ignored those deportation orders.
